"Amazing experience getting our beautiful Maremma Sheepdog puppy from Livestock Guardian Dogs! They were so easy to communicate with, walking us through each step. We are not about eight months in. Having owned two other LGD breeds we are blown away with this breed. Our puppy has taken to our sheep like a fish to water. He has bonded to our animals. We plan on adding another Maremma next year! We have already sent two of our farmer friends back to Livestock Guardian Dogs. Absolutely the best LGDs.

Missed his mom for first week. But wow, after he got over the puppies blues have leaving home he has been amazing. We were strict with not bringing him in house. He gets all his attention out with our goats and free range chickens. Every day when our animals are rotated through the pastures he moves with our animals. He lives, breathes and slips with them. We used to lose the odd chicken to hawks. Not since we added Max to our homestead. If you are on the fence about adding a Maremma puppy to your home stead, bite the bullet. We love our boy!

"Wow. He actually stays with our sheep. He was restless for first month. We bought a second puppy from Livestock Guardian Dogs. That settled him down right away. We've tried sneaking up on our sheep to see if we can catch Vito off guard. Not a chance. I would recomend Livestock Guardian dogs to anyone interested in getting something to protect their animals. While I have never had a Pyrenees, we have had several Anatolian Shepherds and one Anatolian cross. No comparison. We LOVE these dogs!

"Great experience getting our puppy from Livestock Guardian Dogs.

Having a fairly large flock, we knew we wanted to start with two siblings who would grow up together. We picked two littermates, one boy and one girl. We neutered the boy right away to keep from any accidents as he matures. It has taken next to know training. That we know of, both our pups have killed coyote before they were a year old. We lost one lamb when the pups were about five months old. Our guess is they just weren't quite old enough. But even though the coyote population is very high, we have had no losses since. We don't put our sheep up at night. They stay out at night with our animals.
